Transcript: Laying The Foundation It Started "In The Beginning" Genesis 1:27 (NIV) "So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." What Are Our Roles? Headship & Submission 9 But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" 10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." 11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" 12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me - she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." 16 To the woman he said, "I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." 17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat from it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life." We perpetuate, until this very day, the dynamic Adam and Eve created in the Garden which was so eloquently portrayed in the video. " . . . . Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." - Genesis 3:16 Misconceptions of Our Marital Duties Ephesians 5:22-26 (NIV) Yes, headship is certainly about LEADING and PROVIDING. . . Marriage is far more significant than you may have thought Marriage was designed by God and defined by God Marriage was focus of Satan's first attack Marriage is at the center of God's purpose for mankind Neither of you is God, but you actually expect your spouse or yourself to be God fairly often The Fall THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MARRIAGE $1.25 Saturday, November 26, 2016 Vol XCIII, No. 311 God's Primary Purpose for Marriage Genesis 3:9-13, 16-17 (NIV) Marriage is intended to be a reflection of the triune God! But it is more about SERVING and SACRIFICING. 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by washing her with water through the word. Yes, submission is about OBEDIENCE and FOLLOWING. . . But it is more about EMPOWERING and UPLIFTING. The best way to improve your marriage isn't to focus on fixing your spouse or even becoming a better spouse yourself. You can only create a Godly marriage by focusing on becoming a better disciple. It's Bigger Than You The God Complex Marriage is Not About Your Happiness Why God's Grace Hasn't Been Sufficient

Transcript: Designing Your Presentation Structuring Content Effectively Color Schemes and Fonts Choosing the Right Layout Incorporating Visuals and Graphics A clear structure is vital for effective presentations. The rule of three can be applied, presenting ideas in groups of three for easier digestion. Use bullet points and numbered lists to enhance clarity and flow. Color schemes set the mood and enhance readability. A limited palette of 2-3 colors with contrasting tones is more effective. Choose fonts that align with the presentation tone; sans-serif for modern looks and serif for traditional presentations are common choices. The layout determines visual hierarchy and readability. Common layouts include slides designed for text-heavy content versus those emphasizing visuals, such as images or infographics. A well-structured layout improves audience retention of information. Visuals, such as images and charts, capture attention more than text alone. Research shows that visuals can improve information retention by up to 65%. Infographics help in simplifying complex data for better understanding. Introduction to Research Topic Templates serve as a blueprint for presentations, providing consistency in design and structure.
